Our Grammar Awareness Module provides a fun, in-depth grammar brush up course specifically designed to help you understand and effectively communicate key grammar principles to your students. This 20 hour online course details the fundamental structures and concepts underlying the English language with the specific intent of effectively preparing you to communicate these to your students.

Module 1: The Nuts and Bolts of English (5 hours) Begin your grammar review with a look at common grammar terminology, including word classes and parts of speech.
Module 2: English Tense Forms (5 hours) How are verb forms constructed to communicate the past, present and future? Learn the difference between the continuous, perfect and conditional forms.
Module 3: English Tense Functions (5 hours) In this module you’ll learn how tenses use time references and how the same tense can serve various functions.
Module 4: Vocabulary and Phonology (5 hours) In the final module you’ll focus on the sonic aspects of English words. Discover their unique sounds, forms of pronunciation, spelling and, most importantly, how you can categorize them to help students learn effectively.

Generally speaking, the course takes 60 hours to complete; this can take place at your own pace at any time during the three months provided to finish the course. If you need longer, you can extend your course for a small fee.
